Dear fellow actor,
I'd like to thank you for taking the time to discover something more about the
unique personalized program offered here at
Dawn Wells' Film Actors Boot
Camp. FABC is a one week Western residential Boot Camp of intense study for
the actor serious about a career in film. Our goal is to provide as smooth a
transition as possible for the amateur actor into the professional world. We
want to save you time, expense, mistakes, AND give you personal attention
in assessing your talent, niche and marketability.
Do you feel you know all you should about the process of beginning and then
sustaining a career in the film industry? So you think you can act, what are you
going to do about it? What choices should you make? Where do you fit? Is the
camera your friend? Do you understand the
"business" of show business? What
you are marketing and ARE YOU READY?
I want you to experience ONE INTENSIVE WEEK OF HARD WORK, while we
prepare you for the most important decision you're going to make; becoming a
self supporting, working actor in the film industry. I want you to gain the
knowledge of how the film business works and what you can do to help get the
job. I want you to be allowed to grow as an artist and sustain a career doing
something you love to do.
During the boot camp your
SMALL group will experience discipline, hard work,
and on-site training, consisting of a day on the set with some location shooting
and interaction with professionals
from the film business including their personal
assessment
. You'll learn the Nuts and Bolts! We will challenge you, help you to be
objective about where you fit and what you are marketing. You'll learn what
to expect from agents, casting directors and producers. You'll experience ON
CAMERA AUDITIONS and
"VOICE-OVER" auditions. You'll learn how to manage the " Business " of acting and even explore some alternative choices.
All that in one week. And it's combined with a WONDERFUL WESTERN
EXPERIENCE in a magnificent valley surrounded by tall mountains in the heart
of Teton Valley Territory. You will live on the Teton Wells Ranch, boot camp
style, in Driggs Idaho. You'll travel 35 miles to see Jackson Hole, WY. (the
entrance to Yellowstone National Park). While out west you will sample a chuck
wagon jamboree, a melodrama, outdoor Barbecues around the campfire and
who knows, maybe a trail ride or a fishing expedition...
It's 6 days and 7 nights you'll never forget. You'll come away with confidence, a
sense of direction and perhaps the
beginning of your life as a professional actor.
