After drawing unprecedented audiences Into Midwestern theatres with its first film,
"Escanaba in da Moonlight", Michigan based Purple Rose Films presents its new
comedy, Super Sucker, opening on January 24, 2003 in select cities in Michigan -
Detroit, Flint, Ann Arbor, Jackson, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Traverse City.
In Ohio - Cieveland, Toledo and Columbus - as well as Chicago,
Minneapolis, St Louis, Milwaukee, Madison, and Kansas City

Super Sucker is a hilarious comedy about rival door-to-door vacuum cleaner
sales teams. In addition to wrting and directing, Daniels, once again the underdog,
heads up his team of misfits as Fred Barlow. Barlow meets Howard Sutterworth,
played by fellow Michigan native and Purple Rose Theatre (a repertory theatre
founded by Daniels) alumnus Matt Letscher (currently on the tv show "Good
Morning Miami"). The two, with the help of Purple Ross Theatre veterans Leonard
(Guy Sanville), Rhonda (Sandra Birch), Shelby (John Seibart) and Darlene (Kate
Peekham) team up against Barlow's cross-town rival, and nemesis, Winslow
Scnnaebelt. Schnaebelt, played by Harve Presnell (who also portrayed the brash
family patriarch, Albert Soady in Estanabe) is the razzle-dazzle red-suited
competitor who will do anythlng to undermine Barlow.

Barlow and Schnaebelt battle for territory and survival in a 'winner takes all'
contest. When perennial underdog, Fred Barlow re-discovers a long-lost
cleaning attachment, the contest turns as he and his team of misfits determine
'non-traditional' uses for this attachment.  The result not only changes their lives,
it changes the home cleaning industry forever.
